Made-Well is situated just outside the market town of Hatherleigh, Devon. For detailed directions, please visit our 'Contact Us' page.
2. What are your opening hours?
Our site is open daily 9am - 4pm. Please contact us directly to find out if our café is open by calling 01837 810584 and choosing option 3.
3. Is there parking available on-site?
Yes, we offer free parking on-site for all visitors. If our car park is full, please go back out over the two cattle grids and turn right onto the main road. Our overflow car park is your next right. Once parked, please use the public cycle path to reach our site.
4. Is Made-Well accessible to individuals with disabilities?
Absolutely. We have a disabled toilet with baby change facilities and a Changing Places toilet, which includes a hoist, an adult-sized changing bench, and ample space for a carer. Our facilities are designed to be inclusive and accessible to everyone. We even have play equipment designed for wheelchair users - of all ages!
5. Can I bring my children to Made-Well?
Yes, children are welcome at Made-Well. We have an inclusive playground and various activities suitable for children. Please note that we are a working site with moving vehicles and machinery; therefore, children must be supervised at all times.
6. Are dogs allowed on the premises?
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times. Please note that only assistance dogs are permitted in the animal barn and playground areas.
7. Do you offer facility rentals for private events?

9. What is the definition of carer and what proof is required?
In the UK, a carer is someone who provides unpaid support to a family member or friend who cannot manage without help due to illness, disability, mental health issues, or addiction. Proof of being a carer can include Carer’s Allowance award letters, GP registration as a carer, a carer’s assessment from the local council, identification from a carer support organisation, or recognition from an employer.

Follow the A386 south towards Hatherleigh.

Made-Well is 2 miles after Meeth. You will go up a steep incline with bends. Made-Well's main entrance is then on the right, over two cattle grids.
